Billing Management
Manage payment methods, download invoices, understand your bill, and upgrade or downgrade your plan.
Managing Payment Methods
Add, update, or remove payment methods from Settings > Billing > Payment Methods. Teammates.ai accepts major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). Your primary card is used for subscription renewals and auto-top-ups.
- 1
Add a card
Go to Settings > Billing > Payment Methods and click "Add Payment Method." Enter your card details and save.
- 2
Set a default card
Click the three-dot menu next to any card and select "Set as Default." This card handles all future charges.
- 3
Remove a card
Click the three-dot menu and select "Remove." You cannot remove your only payment method while on a paid plan.
Downloading Invoices
Invoices are generated automatically for every charge (subscription renewals, top-up purchases). Download them from Settings > Billing > Invoices. Each invoice includes your plan, credit amounts, top-ups, and applicable taxes. Invoices are available in PDF format.
Understanding Your Bill
Your monthly bill may include several line items. Here is what each one means.
| Line Item | Description |
|---|---|
| Plan Subscription | Your monthly plan fee (e.g., Pro at $25/mo) |
| Top-Up Purchase | Any manual or auto-top-up credit purchases during the cycle |
| Proration (upgrade) | Prorated charge when upgrading mid-cycle |
| Tax | Applicable sales tax or VAT based on your billing address |
Upgrading Your Plan
Upgrades take effect immediately. You keep all existing credits. The price difference is prorated for the remainder of your current billing cycle. Your new monthly rate applies starting at the next renewal.
- 1
Go to Settings > Billing > Plan
Open the plan selector and choose the plan you want to upgrade to.
- 2
Review prorated charge
The system shows the prorated amount you will be charged today, plus your new monthly rate going forward.
- 3
Confirm upgrade
Click "Upgrade" to apply the change. New credits are added to your balance instantly.
Downgrading Your Plan
Downgrades take effect at your next billing renewal. Your current credits are honored through the end of the cycle. At renewal, your credit allowance adjusts to the new plan level.
Note:If your remaining credits exceed the new plan's monthly allowance, you keep the excess credits until they are consumed or expire.
