Outbound Campaign Stopped Unexpectedly

When an Adam campaign stops mid-run, the cause is usually credits, lead list, or phone number configuration. Work through these steps.

  1. 1

    Check your credit balance

Adam uses 10 credits per 30 voice minutes. Go to Dashboard > Billing and confirm you have enough credits for the remaining calls. Enable auto-top-up to avoid mid-campaign pauses.

  2. 2

Verify your phone number is active

Go to Dashboard > Adam > Phone Numbers and confirm your outbound number shows "Active". If it shows an error, the telephony provider may have flagged it. Contact support for assistance.

  3. 3

    Check lead list validity

If all leads in the campaign have invalid phone numbers or have already been contacted, the campaign has nothing left to call. Add new leads or start a new campaign.

  4. 4

    Review campaign error logs

Go to Dashboard > Adam > Campaigns and click into the paused campaign. The activity log shows why each call failed (e.g., "invalid number", "no answer", "provider error").

No Audio on Calls

If Adam's calls connect but the recipient hears silence or the call drops immediately, the issue is usually voice configuration or network-related.

  1. 1

Test with your own phone number

Create a test campaign with your phone number as the only lead. Call yourself and verify you can hear Adam speaking. This rules out lead-specific issues.

  2. 2

    Check telephony region settings

In Dashboard > Adam > Settings, verify the telephony region matches your target audience location. Mismatched regions can cause audio routing failures.

  3. 3

    Check firewall and port access

If your organization uses a corporate firewall, confirm it allows outbound traffic on the ports required by the telephony provider. Ask your IT team to whitelist the voice endpoints listed in your dashboard.

  4. 4

    Check the status page

Visit the Teammates.ai status page to see if there are any ongoing voice infrastructure issues. If there is an active incident, wait for resolution and retry.

Adam Fails to Book Meetings

If Adam qualifies a prospect during a call but does not book a meeting, the problem is usually calendar connectivity, availability, or timezone settings.

  1. 1

    Verify calendar connection

Go to Dashboard > Adam > Calendar and confirm Google Calendar (or your provider) shows "Connected" with read/write permissions. If disconnected, re-authorize the connection.

  2. 2

    Check working hours and availability

In calendar settings, confirm your working hours leave open slots for bookings. If buffer time between meetings is too long or working hours are too restrictive, Adam cannot find available times to offer prospects.

  3. 3

    Verify timezone settings

A timezone mismatch between your calendar and Adam's configuration can cause Adam to offer times that look unavailable. Confirm both are set to the same timezone in Dashboard > Settings and your calendar provider.

  4. 4

    Test a manual booking

From the dashboard, try manually creating a test meeting through Adam. If the manual booking fails, the issue is with the calendar integration itself. If it succeeds, the issue may be with how Adam qualifies the prospect during calls.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Adam charge credits for unanswered calls or voicemails?
No. Adam only uses credits for answered calls with a live person. Voicemails and unanswered calls do not consume credits.
Can Adam handle both inbound and outbound calls?
Yes. Adam handles inbound calls (website visitor engagement, exit intent, inbound leads) and outbound calls (prospecting, multi-channel outreach, meeting booking). Configure both in Dashboard > Adam.
Why did Adam stop calling leads mid-campaign?
The most common cause is zero credits. Adam pauses when your balance runs out. Check Dashboard > Billing and add credits or enable auto-top-up. Also verify the campaign is not manually paused and the lead list still has valid, uncontacted numbers.
